Myofunctional Therapy For Adults

Adult myofunctional therapy focuses on improving the function of the tongue, lips, jaw, and breathing patterns to support better oral rest posture, nasal breathing, swallowing, and long-term stability. Therapy is typically scheduled every two weeks, and each person has an individually developed treatment program based on their needs. Sessions include guided exercises, home practice, progress tracking, and ongoing support to help create lasting functional changes.

Myofunctional Therapy For Children

Myofunctional therapy works best as part of a team approach. I collaborate with dental, orthodontic, ENT, speech, sleep, and bodywork providers when needed to help identify contributing factors and support the best possible outcome. By addressing oral function, breathing patterns, tongue posture, and muscle habits alongside other recommended care, we can create a more complete plan that supports long-term stability, comfort, and overall wellness.

Tongue Thrust Therapy

Support does not stop when the appointment ends. Throughout therapy, patients receive ongoing guidance between visits through text and email as needed. This allows for questions, exercise clarification, progress check-ins, and encouragement along the way, helping patients stay consistent and confident with their home practice between sessions.

Mouth Breathing Therapy

Mouth breathing therapy focuses on retraining healthy oral rest posture, lip seal, tongue position, and nasal breathing patterns. Therapy is typically scheduled every two weeks, and each person has an individually developed treatment program based on their needs. Sessions include guided exercises, home practice, and progress tracking to support improved breathing function, sleep quality, and long-term oral health.

Tounge-Tie Support Therapy

Tongue tie support focuses on improving tongue mobility, strength, and function before and/or after a tongue tie release when appropriate. Therapy is typically scheduled every two weeks, and each person has an individually developed treatment program based on their needs. Sessions include targeted exercises, home practice, and progress tracking to support healing, proper oral function, and long-term stability.

Orthodontic Relapse Therapy

Orthodontic relapse therapy focuses on improving the tongue, lip, jaw, and breathing patterns that may contribute to teeth shifting after orthodontic treatment. Therapy is typically scheduled every two weeks, and each person has an individually developed treatment program based on their needs. Sessions include guided exercises, home practice, and progress tracking to support proper oral function and long-term orthodontic stability.

TMJ/TMD Muscle Function Support

TMJ/TMD muscle function support focuses on improving tongue posture, jaw stability, nasal breathing, and oral habits that may contribute to muscle tension and jaw strain. Therapy is typically scheduled every two weeks, and each person has an individually developed treatment program based on their needs. Sessions include guided exercises, home practice, and progress tracking to support healthier muscle function, comfort, and long-term stability.

Sleep and Airway Support

Sleep and airway support focuses on improving oral rest posture, tongue position, lip seal, and nasal breathing patterns that can affect sleep quality and airway function. Therapy is typically scheduled every two weeks, and each person has an individually developed treatment program based on their needs. Sessions include guided exercises, home practice, and progress tracking to support healthier breathing patterns and overall airway wellness.

Collaborative Care

Myofunctional therapy often works best as part of a team approach. Collaboration with dentists, orthodontists, ENTs, speech-language pathologists, bodyworkers, and other providers helps support more complete care, address underlying concerns, and create the best possible treatment outcomes.
