Practice Focus: Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, Airway Health
I’ve always had a deep passion for learning and helping others achieve better health. With over 25 years of clinical practice experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist, I’ve continually expanded my education and skill set, leading me to become an Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist.
My commitment to this work is both professional and personal. I’ve guided my son through orthotropic treatment, supported both my son’s and daughter’s frenulectomies for tethered oral tissues, and navigated my own journey with sleep-disordered breathing and temporomandibular disorder (TMD). Through these experiences, I came to truly understand how powerful myofunctional therapy can be—not only for my family, but for so many patients who are searching for answers.
I am dedicated to ongoing education in this ever-evolving field and believe strongly in whole-body, collaborative care. Addressing airway health requires looking at the full picture, and I work closely with other providers to ensure each piece of the diagnostic puzzle is considered for the most effective, personalized treatment.
I have studied with the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM) and MyoMentor. I am also an official Myomunchee® practitioner and a proud member of the International Association of Airway Hygienists (IAAH).
When you work with me, you are not just another appointment — you are a whole person with a story, symptoms, concerns, and goals. I take the time to listen, understand what you have been experiencing, and help connect the dots between your breathing, sleep, jaw tension, oral habits, and overall function.
With over 25 years of clinical dental experience, I bring a trained eye, compassion, and a whole-person approach to myofunctional therapy. Your care is personalized, educational, and supportive, so you understand not only what we are working on, but why it matters.
All sessions are done through telehealth, making therapy convenient for busy lifestyles. We begin with a comprehensive 90-minute initial exam, followed by 30–45 minute sessions every two weeks. Between visits, you will have simple, targeted exercises to practice at home, along with email and text support for questions.
When needed, I also collaborate with your other providers, such as your dentist, orthodontist, ENT, sleep physician, or bodyworker, so your care supports the bigger picture.
My goal is to help you breathe better, sleep more soundly, feel less stressed, and move out of chronic pain — with support, education, and encouragement every step of the way.
We address the cause of your dysfunction, not just the symptoms.
